Did you know there are only 5 drive-in theaters left in Washington state? Drive-in theaters across the nation are making a bit of a comeback as people of all ages go to enjoy family time together and a somewhat nostalgic experience. Summer is the perfect time to get outdoors. And, with these great drive-in movie theaters you can have a family outing that is sure to be memorable. To plan your next outdoor movie experience, here is a list of drive-in theaters around Washington!
Rodeo Drive-In Theater– Today, with 3 screens and a total car capacity of about 1,000, the Rodeo is the largest outdoor theater complex in Washington State and by far the largest and oldest family owned drive-in in the Northwest. Admission is $9.75 for adults and $6.75 for kids 12 and under and seniors 55+. A great value for a DOUBLE FEATURE! We don’t see a note on the Website against bringing in food or drink so check with the theater ahead of time if you plan to bring something. They do have a big concession area! This theater also holds a swap meet every Sunday as well.

Wheel-In-Motor Movie Drive In – This theater has been open since 1953. According to their Website on 7/27/17 they are replacing their original screen and will be open in a few short weeks! Admission is $9 for adults and $7 for kids. Under 6 get in free. They don’t mention whether or not bringing in outside food or beverage is acceptable so check with the theater before doing so. They do have a great snack bar to complement your drive-in experience!

Blue Fox Drive-In Theater – More than just a drive-in, you can also GoKarts too! They have some tips to best enjoy the drive-in, including the the best days to go. One thing to note is that you cannot bring in outside food and drinks. They do have food onsite for purchase. $7 if you pay with debit ($6.50 with cash) for adults and children are only $1 (under 5 are free!).
Skyline Drive-In Theater – Located in Shelton, WA this drive-in is a family-owned theater. General admission is 12 & up and is $8. Only $3 for kids 6-11 and under 5 can get in free. Cash is preferred and no outside food or drink allowed. This is a pet-friendly theater, but read the pet rules on the Website.
Auto Vue Drive-In Theater – This drive-in theater has been around since 1953. Only $7 for adults and $3 for kids (age 3-11) this is a great family adventure. They do have food on site so no need to bring in anything. Before bringing in outside food or beverage, check with the theater on what is allowed.
