A Stranger's Prayer in the Woods~ Ashley's story! ??? "The last thing I wanted to do today after therapy was go for a hike. I went anyway. Through my frustration of situations I'm dealing I started to notice things in the woods; broken trees, chipmunks, flowers, herons, deer, and I could feel my mood change from frustration to appreciation for being able to move my body and be out here. The most beautiful thing happened as I was nearing my 2 mile mark. A lady passed me and I could hear her music and I asked what she was listening to and she told me worship music. She said she likes to come out here and let The Lord wash over her. I told her I was listening to worship too and trying to process things with Him. She stopped and asked if she could pray with me. I shared a thing that was heaviest on my heart and she prayed with me right there in the middle of the woods. We hugged and walked together for a few minutes then we parted ways. As I was walking back nearing the end of my 3.5 mile hike I hear The Lord whisper, "You may feel broken and lost but I still see you." I cried all the way back to my car. I love when The Holy Spirit shows up when I least expect it and truly reminded me that even in the valley I may be in He shows up and is always right next to me." Amen!
