Are you taking care of yourself?
Recently a very dear friend encouraged me to take some time for myself. So I did. In one week, I saw the doctor, my dentist, a new chiropractor, and my counselor. I’ve been dealing with anxiety and depression… by not dealing with it. Do you relate?
I’m not ashamed to tell you that because I want you to know you are not alone with all that is crammed into your stomach, your heart, your mind. I get it. Don’t forget you are in there too.
I’m reading psalms in the Bible (which express all emotions) and the devotional dearest to me, “Streams in the Desert.” I’ve been reading novels set in World War I filled with heroes and heroines who overcome. I’ve walking by the Sound praying and taking in moments with God.
Bottom line, I’m trusting the Lord for fresh hope, for kindling.
“He will not crush the weakest reed or put out a flickering candle.” ~ Isaiah 42:3
“Take care!” We say those words so often, but I mean them sincerely… take care of yourself.
