Is it just me or does Greece hold a special sense of adventure? Maybe I’ve watched Sisterhood of Traveling Pants 2 too many times, but there is something about it that has always seemed remarkable. And after traveling to Greece in 2019 I can confirm it is remarkable. From the people to the food to the breathtaking landscapes there is nothing quite like it. That’s why I am so excited that we are taking listeners there again in 2023. If you’ve ever thought about traveling to Greece this might be the perfect time. Here’s a few things you’ll get experience when you travel to Greece with us:
History. So. Much. History. Greece is one of the oldest Countries in the world so it’s no surprise that there are loads of historical sites to see. From the amazing ruins of the Acropolis to the Panathenaic Stadium there is so much to experience!
A REAL Greek salad. Did you know that a true Greek salad is nothing like what we have in the States? Yup, you can imagine my shock when I received an entire block of feta cheese in my salad! The good news is you won’t have to ask for extra cheese!
A fish pedicure. Yes, you read that right. Only in Greece can you get a pedicure where fish are eating the dead skin off your feet. If nothing else, DO IT for the memories! And yes, your feet will be surprisingly soft.
Crystal blue ocean water. Need I say more? Get your cameras ready.
Oia. You know all those pictures you see of the Island hillside covered in white buildings with bright blue roofs? That is Oia! Oia is a city on the Island of Santorini and probably my favorite place in all of Greece. From the adorable to shops and restaurants that all seem to flawlessly flow together to the cobblestone paths and breathtaking views it is everything and MORE than you could possibly imagine. The great news about our upcoming trip to Greece is that you get to spend lots of time there!
Spiritual connection. The Apostle Paul traveled to Greece so there are many spots that have ties to the Bible. It was so cool to be able to have the Bible come to life in many locations throughout Greece.
Amazing people. The people in Greece are some of the warmest and kindest people you will ever meet. Unlike other countries, they welcome tourists with open arms.
The Monasteries of Meteora. Absolutely breathtaking Monasteries on the top of giant rock formations with amazing views. This is one of those things you must see to believe.
Great shopping. There are so many beautiful, handcrafted items in Greece. My favorite was the amazing jewelry made from local artisans.
New friends. A highlight for many people who have traveled with us is the friendships that they make on the trip. Many people leave with several new friends who have similar interests.
