On Sunday morning at Legion Park in Arlington, as dog walkers, runners, and moms pushing strollers walked past, four churches came together to worship the Lord Jesus. The pews were lawn chairs, and the roof was a handful of tents, providing refuge from the rain occasionally sprinkling. Pastors, musicians, and church members from Calvary Arlington, Christ the King, Oso Community Church, and Lifeway sang, laughed, and called out “Amens” together in harmony.
This tradition began following the tragic mudslide that happened in Oso in 2014, a true beauty from ashes story. Pastor Jim Jacobson from Calvary Arlington is our special guest today. Join Pastor Jim, Erica, and Steve for a conversation about healing as a community, the power and joy of worshipping together, and the camaraderie between four pastors in one city! And a big THANK YOU to Pastors Chad Blood, Jim Jacobson, Todd McKeown, and Rick Schranck for catching the SPIRIT in Arlington!
We want to hear about the people and businesses you know doing good work and truly Catching the Spirit of kindness in the community. You can tell us about them here. Special thanks to Fellowship Home Loans for helping us recognize those in our community doing good.
