“Every girl dreams about their wedding and the cake is part of that dream.. and to be able to bring some of that dream to fruition, makes that moment for that individual and starts that new life on the right foot.” ~Frank Kinard, Cake Baker
Frank Kinard was looking for something to fill the time his wife spent at bible study, so he took a cake baking and decorating class. Now, blessed with a new talent, this wonderful veteran from Coupeville is making cakes for others. Brew a cup of coffee and join Frank, Erica, and Steve to find out how baking is helping Frank and so many others in our community! Frank takes the cake.
We want to hear about the people and businesses you know doing good work and truly Catching the Spirit of kindness in the community. You can tell us about them here. Special thanks to Fellowship Home Loans for helping us recognize those in our community doing good.
as I have been following Erica”s devotionals these last few days about praying big it reminded me of the Prayer I wrote some years ago. I was struggling with guilt and depression brought on by P.T.S.D. which I didn’t realize I was suffering with after 21 years in Law Enforcement and one combat tour. I just wanted to say thanks for your encouragement over the air waves as I drive to work in Seattle daily from Coupeville WA on Whidbey Island.
My Morning prayer
THANK YOU LORD
Thank you Lord for this new day
Please don’t let me go astray
May my actions glorify you
And cause other people to live for you.
Thank you Lord for this new day
Even when its cloudy and gray
With your hope shining through me
So that others can see you abiding in me
Thank you Lord for this new day
When everything is not going just my way
Cause me to focus more on you the maker of this Brand New Day.
